Henderson & Everett, P.C. (H&E) is a team of dedicated highly acclaimed professionals located in Charlottesville, Virginia. H&E was formed in October 1992, when J. Thomas Everett III joined William U. Henderson.
Tommy
was born in Emporia, Virginia. He received both his undergraduate and masters
degrees in accounting from the University of Virginia in 1983 and 1985, respectively,
and he began his career with Price Waterhouse in Atlanta, Georgia in the
Tax Department.
In addition to Price Waterhouse, Tommy's previous experience includes a stint with Branch & Associates, a real estate investment advisor where he formed and ran their in-house accounting and tax department. Tommy's professional interests are in the tax planning and preparation side, particularly real estate ventures and individuals. In 1992, he moved to Charlottesville and formed Henderson & Everett, P.C.
Tommy and his wife Sarah have five children, Jay, Anniken, Ashi, Mats, and Kobi. He enjoys Virginia athletics, golf and spending time with his family.
Wade
was born in Oklahoma City, lived in Texas and Kansas until moving to California
to start High School. He received his bachelor’s
degree in business economics with an accounting emphasis from the University
of California at Santa Barbara in 1993.
After leaving Santa Barbara, Wade worked for Moore Grider and Company in Fresno, California. He moved to the Los Angeles area in 1997 to manage the tax department for Edward White & Co . LLP in Woodland Hills, California.
Wade’s primary areas of expertise are in the tax planning, tax compliance and small business consulting areas.
Wade moved to Charlottesville in 2004 with his wife Cassie and children, Hunter and Duke to join Henderson & Everett, P.C. where he became a partner in 2005. He enjoys golf and fishing in his spare time.
Anne
is a native of Phenix City, Alabama and has lived in Charlottesville since
1999. She began her career in 1985 in Alabama, and then spent seven years
with Maudlin & Jenkins LLP in Albany, Georgia before relocating to Charlottesville.
Anne’s areas of interest are in client services, payroll taxes, monthly and quarterly write up work and tax preparation. Anne is also an expert in the use of QuickBooks software for all kinds of businesses.
Anne and her husband Jim have a daughter who lives in the Charlottesville area and a married son in Massachusetts.
Emma is a native of Riner, Virginia and has lived in Charlottesville since 1997. Emma holds the position of Director of First Impressions. She handles all aspects of office administration along with being the first smiling face you see when you walk into the office.
Emma received her undergraduate degree in English from the University of Virginia in 2001 and has endeavored to become a Charlottesville “local” ever since. Along with her office duties, to exercise her creative side, Emma manages the 5th & Water Street Gallery which greets the Henderson & Everett visitors with rotating monthly exhibits of area artists.
Recently married, Emma and her husband Cory live in Belmont with their dog. They enjoy dining out, music at the Pavilion, road trips and spending time together with their friends and family.
William U. Henderson (Bill)
In
2007 we were happy to congratulate William U. Henderson (Bill) on his retirement
from the firm. Having established Henderson & Everett, P.C. with
Tommy Everett in 1992, Bill is now limiting his practice to business valuation,
litigation support and small business consulting. His new office
is located next door to H&E. While Bill has retired from the
firm, he is still available to us for his recall of client matters.
Bill’s new arrangement will allow him to limit his practice and afford him the opportunity to spend more time with his family.
Bill’s contributions to the firm have been innumerable and everyone here at Henderson & Everett would like to thank him for his years of service and friendship.
